Debate on Scotland’s Population Needs and Migration Policy

Yesterday we debated the unique challenges facing Scotland’s population and our migration policy.

Scotland needs immigration but so does the rest of the UK. The movement of people enriches both societies and those who move. Migration is good but it clearly cannot be a free-for-all.

I took the opportunity to quiz the Minister for Transport and the Islands, Humza Yousaf, on the figure released by ScotRail on the dwindling number of users at the East Kilbride stations who are voting with their feet due to the overcrowding and lack of carriages.
