Graham Simpson MSP has responded to constituent concerns about cuts to school transport in North Lanarkshire. Today he walked a route deemed safe by the council from Stepps to Chryston High School.

Graham Simpson MSP said: "The outcry over the cut to school buses in North Lanarkshire has been understandable. Today I walked a 40 minute route which would be a challenge for any youngster.

"When councils cut school transport, which has happened across the country, it leads to more cars on the roads. That is not a good outcome. I will work with anyone and everyone to find a solution."
