Yesterday, Conservative and Unionist MSP for Central Scotland Graham Simpson attended the opening of the new station at Hairmyres.
Graham Simpson MSP said: "I was delighted to attend the official opening of the new station at Hairmyres. It's a fantastic facility with a footbridge, two platforms and plenty of car parking space.
"It's going to a be a multi-modal transport hub with great cycling facilities and also a bus service. This new station is going to make a big difference for people in East Kilbride."
