The latest Scottish Government housing statistics reveal the SNP’s failure to deliver for the people of North Lanarkshire.
Housing Statistics for Scotland Quarterly Update revealed that house building completions in North Lanarkshire fell by 27 per cent from 2016 to 2017.
Scottish Conservative Housing Spokesman Graham Simpson said “The SNP’s complacency on housing is staggering. When we talk about housing, we are talking about the homes that provide the security and opportunity for a family to grow and flourish. This dramatic fall in house building completions across North Lanarkshire undermines local people’s standard of living and the future of our young people.
“The Scottish Conservatives have outlined innovative proposals to revitalise the housing sector. Ruth Davidson’s proposals included a commitment to build 100,000 new homes over the course of this parliament – with half of them affordable housing.
“The SNP must get back to work and deliver.
“Only the Scottish Conservatives can stand up to the SNP, and deliver for Scotland”.
